Fez Desert Tour 2 Days

Day 1: Fes / Cedar Forest / Erfoud / Merzouga

Tours from Fes: Departing from Fes at 7 am, driven over way Ifrane one of the most beautiful cities in morocco (we call it The Switzerland of Morocco) due to the snow climate and the natural views also the amazing architecture of this small city, then we drive towards Midelt via Azrou and the nearby Cedre Gourat forest in the Middle Atlas where you will have the chance to see groups of Barbary apes (monkeys). After lunch in Midelt, a city famous for the production of delicious apples, we continue over the Tizi-n-Talremt pass and through the Ziz Valley with its palm trees and lengthy oasis. Admire the “ksars” of the several Berber villages we encounter on the way before passing by Erfoud, an oasis town and well-known site for dates and fossils. Admiring kasbahs and palm groves on the way, we pass through the adobe colored city of Er-Rachidia before we arrive in the afternoon to Merzouga, where you will spend the night in the hotel.

Day 2 : Merzouga / Fes

Wake up early in the morning to admire the beautiful sunset before enjoying breakfast at the hotel. We then take a drive in the dunes to reach Khamlia, an ancient village of black slaves where will visit a local association engaged in the safeguard of the desert’s environment. After lunch back at the hotel After a tasty lunch, we leave Merzouga and travel north with a stop in Midelt for a break before arriving in Fes .
